Alabama contains natural resources and geography that present vast opportunities to expand our agricultural, health care, and educational advancements. Modernizing our health care system by presenting natural medicinal options in turn expands our agricultural, educational and job opportunities. It opens doors for Alabama to be more self reliant and get back to our roots by strengthening community collaboration.
He looks forward to meeting with the concerned citizens in person to hear their experiences and solutions they see for their communities. Please follow the "EVENTS" page to see when he will be in your area!
HEALTH CARE
According to the most recent rankings collected by U.S News & World Health, ALABAMA ranks 40th in overall healthcare. We are specifically lacking in areas of Access, Quality, and Public Health. Almost 13% of our population is uninsured. Even those that are insured, 3,650 out of every 100,000 will wait to seek care until it is an emergency situation and they are forced to go to the hospital. This is unacceptable, so we have a plan to remedy it.

Please take a moment to educate yourself on this issue by watching this video by PBS . Look into actions that are being taken by SELC, and get involved with our state WaterKeepers and Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

ANIMAL ADVOCACY
ANIMAL LEGAL DEFENSE FUND ranked Alabama the SECOND WORST in Animal Protection Laws. This is due to a lack of education and in leadership. We must encourage our state leaders to strengthen our animal welfare laws and expect law enforcement to hold offenders accountable. We are also lacking in adequate funding for local animal shelters. State law mandates each county should have their own animal shelter but many are lacking in resources to maintain those services and are having to rely on larger city services. Read More
DECRIMINILIZATION
DECRIMINALIZATION of natural medicines would allow countless Alabamians to take their health into their own hands while simultaneously alleviating the backlog of our judicial system as well as the inhumane overcrowding in our prisons. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime excerpt details the Benefits of Decriminalization, while highlighting it does not increase Drug use or Crime rates.
